From Net Galley:

Since being named “London’s Lord to Land” by a popular ladies’ magazine, Nicholas St. John has been relentlessly pursued by every matrimony-minded female in the ton.  So when an opportunity to escape fashionable society presents itself, he eagerly jumps-only to land in the path of the most determined, damnably delicious woman he’s ever met!

The daughter of a titled wastrel, Lady Isabel Townsend has too many secrets and too little money. Though used to taking care of herself quite handily, her father’s recent passing has left Isabel at sea and in need of outside help to protect her young brother’s birthright. The sinfully handsome, eminently eligible Lord Nicholas could be the very salvation she seeks.

But the lady must be wary and not do anything reckless and foolish…like falling madly, passionately in love.

MY THOUGHTS:

TEN WAYS TO BE ADORED WHEN LANDING A LORD by Sarah Maclean is a Regency Romance set in 1812 England. It is the follow up to Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake but can be read as a stand alone. It is well written with depth, details, twists and turns. It has romance, sweet sensuality, forgiveness, adventure, witty dialog, friendship, loyalty, and secrets. The characters are charming, witty, full of life, believable, will grip at your heart, and determined. A highborn but penniless woman meets London’s “Lord to Land”, the most sought after gentleman of the ton. Pearls and Pelisses a ladies magazine explains to their readers how to “Land a Lord” listing Nicholas as a “Lord to Land. He tires of marriage stalkers takes a job to find his friend’s sister, which leads him to the delightful, unpredictable, fascinating Lady Isabel. The hero, Nicholas, is wealthy, handsome, eligible, is the twin to a marquis, a hunter(he finds lost people), decided he doesn’t want to be in love or get married due to his family’s past. The heroine, Isabel, is beautiful, witty, penniless daughter of an earl, trying to keep her brother’s birthright together after her wastrel of a father has died leaving them virtually penniless. She also is running a house for women who need a safe place to stay. When Nicholas and Isabel first meet sparks begin to fly and continue ever through either of them want to give in to their lust or growing love. This is a powerful story of love, forgiveness, moving forward even after past hurt and coming to grips with your parents faults and let downs.I would highly recommend this book especially if you enjoy a truly exciting story of following your heart.
