MY THOUGHTS:

LYDIA’S CHARM by Wanda E. Brunstetter is an Amish Inspirational Romance set in Arthur, Illinois and  Charm, Ohio. It is well written with depth and details. It is about loss, love, strength, faith, prejudice, hope, tragedy, despair and starting over again. A young widow, Lydia, starts over after the tragic death of her beloved husband with her 5 year old son. She is jobless and running out of money so when she receives a letter from her mother she and her son move to Charm, Ohio to help her mother with her grandfather. She finds a job, new friends and tries to begin a new life. Another tragic death occurs and throws her into turmoil, but with her faith and friends, she slowly begins a new life. She has an offer of marriage from a widower with four growing and rumbustious boys. She also is attracted to a another young man whose family are “little people”. This is an amazing story with sadness, triumphs, hope and faith. Once again Ms. Brunstetter has done a superb job of portraying the Amish and their faith, family, community and hope. The characters will pull at your heart strings and you will be thinking of them and their lives long after you finish the story. I would highly recommend this book especially if you enjoy reading about the Amish Community and faith.
