Series: Texas Dreams Series , book 2
Longing for adventure, Priscilla Morton leaves Boston in 1856 and heads for the Texas Hill Country, never dreaming that the adventure she seeks could have heartbreaking consequences. Although attracted to her, ranch foreman Zachary Webster knows Priscilla deserves a cultured East Coast gentleman, not a cowboy who’s haunted by memories of his mistakes.
When necessity draws them together, Priscilla and Zach begin to forge a life filled with promise. But then the past intrudes.
SCATTERED PETALS by Amanda Cabot is a powerful historical romance set during 1856 Texas. This is the second in the Texas Dreams series but can be read as a stand along. This is an emotionally compelling written story with depth and detail. This story is heartwarming full of drama, forgiveness, faith, love, romance, family, community, prejudice and home. The main female character has strong inner strength and has tragedy & scattered dreams, who learns forgiveness and happiness. The main male is a selfless man who gives all to help the woman and learns love can change all. The secondary characters are charming, caring and help carry the story. This is an emotionally, compelling story and proves that from a tragedy comes love and forgiveness.I would highly recommend this book. It is a keeper.
