Author Michelle Hauf has a blog post about TBR Piles, and it got me to thinking. I have somewhere around 2000 or more books in my TBR piles, they are everywhere. I have them on bookshelves, in totes(the hard ones not the cloth ones) although I have some in those as well. But they are everywhere. I have a LOT stored in a grain bin in totes and well also in suitcases because we moved and I ran out of totes and hate cardboard boxes so used suitcases/duffle bags. Some of these I’ve had for years, in fact a few I know I’ve had since 2001 and have never read. I’m not even sure I’d want to read them now, but then I’m a mood reader, so what doesn’t interest me today may interest me next week. So I hate to get rid of any of my unread books for just that reason. It’s also why I will keep a book I start but can’t get into, because I may like it more next week or the next.
And I add a LOT more than I read. I read as fast as I can but still I read a fewer books than I buy. Do you do this? What does your TBR pile look like? Do you read all the books you have before buying new?
I’d love to know what your piles look like.

Oh my TBR pile is getting way out of control! It’s a love/hate relationship! LOL. Sometimes I’m just so overwhelmed by them all. I can’t read nearly as fast as I can buy them! Sometimes I give away books I’ve had for awhile and haven’t read. I don’t mind, but I don’t think my husband would :).
My TBR pile is growing by the seconds. It was manageable until I got online. I don’t have as many as you – but I’m guess about 250 to 300.
My TBR piles sound like yours! I have so many piles that I have hidden some from my husband! :-0
